Professional development
Continuous Medical Education & Webinars
Monthly continuing education that brings national and international expertise to any midwife with a phone and a network signal.

Clinical guidance changes constantly, but travelling to a training centre is out of reach for most midwives. NMAU's CME programme closes that gap with monthly webinars, recorded sessions and regional in-person skills days.
Sessions are led by senior midwives, obstetricians, researchers and partner organisations, and cover topics from postpartum haemorrhage and newborn resuscitation to respectful maternity care, documentation and mental health at work.
Every session is recorded and shared with members, so a midwife on night duty can catch up the following week. Attendance is logged to support members' professional development records.
What the programme covers
- Monthly live webinars open to all members
- Recorded library with slide decks and job aids
- Regional hands-on skills and simulation days
- Certificates and attendance records for CPD
